sub-floor Preparation
Any flooring installation is only as good as the sub-floor upon which it is laid. What may initially appear to be minor imperfections in level or smoothness in a sub floor can often be drastically amplified when the floor finish is eventually laid. Smooth, single colour (Uni) glue-down floorcoverings such as contract vinyl flooring or rubber flooring present surfaces that are particularly critical of the sub-floor upon which they are laid. With some of these products, even adhesive trowel marks can show through if care isn’t taken.
